Busy, Busy, Busy... SUMMER BREAK!!!

The title of this post explains my life in May... busy, busy, busy!  But summer break is now here, which means my life will slow down tremendously! :)

Here is a recap of May...

I celebrated my 2?th :) birthday with my amazing family and friends...

I took Chap to his first soccer game...

{it was a group of my favorite students' intramural soccer game}

{we also went out for Mexican food and ice cream after the game}

I visited my best friend, Nichole, and got to love on her sweet baby...

I got to see Trina receive the "40 Under 40" award from the Springfield Business Journal...

{so proud of her!}

My little brother graduated from college...

{my whole family was in town - including Cocoa: my older brother's dog :)}

One of my sweet students is going to feature me on her photography blog soon, so we had a fun photo shoot together {she is sooo talented - I will be sharing more soon!}...

Well that pretty much sums up my life in May so far.

PROUD!  Why?  Because I wore another new blouse this week and the day after I bought new accessories, I wore them!  :)

I've also been fixing my hair in a different way... big, voluptuous curls is how most people have been describing it {sidenote: the word voluptuous makes me a little uncomfortable - do you agree?!}.

I decided to run to Walgreens last night to get a new color for my toes.  And I was excited to find a $0.99 bin full of fun colors.  I decided on these three.  Please don't judge me for buying Wet n Wild polish. :)

Yesterday the boys had their first outdoor swim.  Swimming on May 3rd?  Crazy...

I feel like there are two types of people in regards to new clothes:

1. When you purchase something new, you wear it immediately.

2. When you purchase something new, it sits in your closet because you don't want to waste it on a insignificant day.

I am definitely the second type of person.  Ridiculous, I know.

Daily Bread

Aren't you thankful when the Lord uses multiple circumstances to make something clear to you?

Lately He has been making it so clear to me that I need to rely on Him and His Word instead of anyone/anything else {including Bible studies/commentary, people, music, etc.}.  He and His Word is all I need - and I need it daily!

My little brother is graduating from college in THREE weeks.

When I straighten my hair, people ask me two questions:

1. How long does it take you?

2. What does your hair look like after you dry it/before you straighten it?

Well take a look...

{it takes me almost 20 minutes just to DRY my hair & lets just say I have lots of hair}
