I was really excited for this week's Pinday project - until I actually tried it {can you say epic fail?}. One of the first pins I saw on Pinterest was this one:

I immediately knew I was in love {and addicted} to this site/concept called "Pinterest." I also knew that I wanted to make my finger nails look like a newspaper ASAP. :) And this past weekend I finally attempted to do so. ATTEMPTED being the key word in that sentence. I failed. I couldn't find a light nail polish I liked {I live in a town with a Walgreens and Wal-Mart - not a whole lot of options}. So I ended up using a medium gray polish that was a yucky color on my nails and too dark to show the newspaper print. I also used rubbing alcohol instead of actual alcohol {I don't drink}, which was supposed to work according to this video tutorial I found on Pinterest.
Oh, well! At least I tried. And I will probably try again sometime! Have any of you all tried this? If so, what were your results? Any tips? :)
Because of that failure, I thought I would share some of my other favorite nail polish finds from Pinterest:

I love the fall Essie colors {1} and the polishes from Anthropology {3}!
Have you blogged about anything Pinterest related lately or plan to? If so, you should link-up with Pinday! The 5th sidebar on my blog labeled "Pinday" has all the information you need. I love reading your posts! Happy pinning, blogging, and linking!!!

I'm such a nerd - always the first to link up on Pinday! I'm just having so much fun writing about my finds! :)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your nail failure. I have cooking wine that I occasionally use in recipes, and I'd be happy to donate some to your nail polish cause if you think it might help... Just let me know how much you need, and I'll send you a jar of it! ;)
