Calm My {Anxious} Heart

One of my goals this year is to grow closer to Christ and serve & minister to others {love God & love others}.

As most of you know, I teach at a Christian university and love it.

This semester I am leading a Bible study at my home with a group of amazing students.  There are about a dozen young ladies in the group.  We are working our way through a study called Calm My Anxious Heart by Linda Dillow.

This study is great.  It is perfect for all women - no matter where you are in life.

I am going to share a weekly update of what God is doing in my life through this study.  I would also love for you to join in on the study.  The book is only $5 at Christianbook.com right now.

Chapter one is about contentment.

The author shared the following prescription for contentment...

I am really trying to be mindful of these things.  Lately God has been teaching me the importance of living with an eternal perspective and the importance of keeping my thoughts captive.  All of the things listed above start with a thought and then usually lead to actions.  Please pray for me and the other young ladies that God will use this study to truly calm our hearts and draw us closer to Him.  Praying for you all, too!

  2. I love this post! I think what you are doing is fantastic! I love the last sentence in the book the best.

"Never dwell on tomorrow, remember that (tomorrow) is Gods, not ours"

  3. I love your side note about be where you're at because i think we as people often get caught up in the what will be, what could be, what was that we often forget the what is.
